The Civil War Rail Trail (CWRT) is virtually a Historical Education Trail with interpretive plaques provided by the Washington County / Hagerstown Visitors Bureau. This array of multiple Tourist Sites will draw people from many states.

  • Hagerstown Underground Railroad Trail, 11 sites to visit

  • Museum of Fine Arts

  • Rose Hill Cemetery – 500 confederate solders from Battle of Antietam are buried in mass grave

  • Wheaton Park—Named after Jacob Wheaton who is believed to be the first African-American to vote in Maryland, after the Civil War
